Nestled in the captivating multidirectional landscape of Ermioni, Greece, this villa represents a dialogue between architecture and its environment. The design began with a deep understanding of the plot, characterized by its dynamic orientations. This complexity inspired a responsive approach, ensuring the villa would harmonize with its surroundings while offering an immersive living experience.
The built-up area is organized into longitudinal members that gracefully embrace the outdoor entertaining spaces. These elements extend the living areas, creating a seamless transition between interior and exterior, while framing views and defining zones of relaxation and activity. The linearity of the design allows the villa to integrate naturally with the landscape, amplifying its multidirectional qualities.
The structural solutions and strategic placement of openings were key to celebrating the interplay between the built form and its surroundings. Every aperture is designed to maximize natural light, ventilation, and visual connections to the landscape. By dissolving boundaries between the interior and exterior, the villa offers an uninterrupted relationship with nature, embracing Ermioni’s distinct character.
In response to the client’s vision for an all-white material palette, we explored the versatility and nuance of white. The design incorporates an array of white materials, from the timeless elegance of marble to the subtle textures of white concrete. These materials work together to create a serene, cohesive atmosphere, where light, shadow, and texture interplay to enhance the villa’s minimalist sophistication.
This project celebrates the harmony of architecture and nature, crafting a villa that is both a tranquil retreat and a reflection of its unique location. The result is a space where the boundaries between indoors and outdoors blur, offering a lifestyle deeply connected to the beauty of Ermioni.
