Located in Barbati area in Corfu, Elementi Villa is a 2000 m² residence, placed at the edge of a unique plot overlooking the Ionian Sea.

The architectural design of the villa has evolved around two main objectives: a strong response toward the unique landscape it inhabits, and a desire to break down its generous scale into more intimate, livable spaces.

The first objective was approached through the dramatic alternation between parts of the building which integrate with the land and parts that extend dramatically towards the horizon in strong cantilevers.

The response to the human scale is achieved through an architectural design concept we call "experience-based design". By imagining everyday inhabitation scenarios and designing spaces for them we managed to compartmentalise the overall scale of the building in everyday unique living experiences.

The name of Villa Elementi, represents an ambition to interweave the four elements, earth, water, wind and fire, into meaningful architectural composition, designed to amplify the experience of these elements.
